Who doesn’t love new towels? Board member, Pat Dalsin, and Declan deliver towels to our residents. With your donations and contributions, Friends of La Posada provides every day personal items for our residents such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap and…towels. Thank you for your generosity!
Our September board meeting was held outside with masks. We were able to approve necessary cleaning and personal protection equipment such as masks and sanitizer for the residents as well as other personal items which are very much appreciated such as plastic storage containers which can be placed under beds.
Mario A. Rodriguez is La Posada’s Residential Technician! La Posada is very excited to have Mario join the team because of his commitment to the homeless population and to the Agency’s Mission Statement. Mario says, “I am happy to be on the frontlines… helping those who need assistance.” Mario believes the work being done at La Posada not only makes a big difference in the lives of the individuals but in the Carlsbad community.
In his free time, Mario likes to spend time with his family and enjoys going to church. Mario is a bible study leader and is deeply committed to his faith. Mario says, “I’m looking forward to being a part of the changes being made here and working here allows me to see people change their lives.”
Some of La Posada’s highly motivated residents decided to pick-up trash around the neighborhood! Not only are these residents committed to bettering their lives, but to keeping Carlsbad clean! Another example of some of La Posada’s superstars!
